  • Good counseling is one of the best gifts you can give yourself: one of self-compassion, understanding, clarity and peace.

People choose to see a counselor for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to, stress management, or a specific event or diagnosis. Sometimes an event occurs in one’s life that causes an individual to seek out help. Counselors can provide a fresh or different perspective on a problem with which they’ve been struggling. Counseling can be beneficial as a client may regain a sense of control in their life and discover and gather new tools to be able to make more informed decisions and effect lasting changes in their life.

  • I am an empathic, genuine, and compassionate person who believes humans are amazingly resilient. I strive to foster a safe environment where you will be seen, valued, and heard on your road to self-discovery.

My counseling approach prioritizes the whole person and typically integrates therapeutic orientations including strength-based, humanistic, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based theories.

  • In the first few sessions we’ll just be getting to know each other. I’ll ask you some questions about your history so that I can understand what brought you in.

As we continue working together, goal setting will be an important component of our conversations.

Together we’ll identify what’s most important to you and move towards accomplishing those goals.

  • At this time, I offer predominantly Telehealth (online) services.

These sessions provide the same level of support as in-person sessions, while also allowing you greater flexibility, accessibility, and comfort.

Counseling sessions are held virtually via the Simple Practice HIPAA compliant platform (Client Portal).

Please arrive on time to the virtual waiting room for your appointment; sessions will end at the scheduled time regardless of when you arrive. If you have not arrived in the virtual waiting room by 15 minutes into the scheduled appointment, you will be responsible for the full fee and may not be seen at that time.

  • I see clients for 53+ minute sessions and we typically meet weekly or bi-weekly, depending on the client’s particular needs and goals.

Therapy is a process as both growth and change are non-linear. The length of time you might spend in therapy will depend on your individual circumstances and will be determined collaboratively by you and me, as your counselor.
